you were talking about English team level and why they don't succeed in international competitions i'd like to know what do you think of my point of view
for the last 15 years or more Premier League started ( the big four at first and then every others clubs ) to sign foreign players like Arsenal with the french, and now when you look at Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc even Qpr they rather buy Spanish, French, Africans, South Americans than train and educate young english players like they use to do with the Gerrard,Lampard, Terry, and many mores generation
so for me the young talented english new generation don't get the chance to grow, to perform, even to play for most of them and i think that's a big problem for the national team, and before England used to have their own style, their own culture of football now with all the foreigns managers, and players premier league has lost his identity and became "European" and i think it really affects the level of the national team.
i think england should spend much more money on formation, detection of locals talents and bet his money on young english players instead of overpay basics foreign players ( salary and transfer fee )
My point is in France the top players play in the bests clubs in Europe but most of them stay in France
in Italy almost all the players play in their country and all of them plays for the same clubs ( Milan & Juve )
same for Spain ( Barca & Real Madrid)
same for Germany ( Bayern & Dortmund )
So those nations (not talking about France) they use to play together all the time they have a tactical identity in their clubs and in their league so it's much easier for them to play for their nations and be more competitive
